While Leesville's victory against Washington-Marion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Leesville Wampus Cats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians on Tuesday, sneaking past 19-17. The win was some much needed relief for the Wampus Cats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leesville let Aubrey Rowlands and Kadence Reibold run wild. Rowlands went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI, while Reibold scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Bealer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-5.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Leesville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Leesville now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Washington-Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Leesville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Washington-Marion: the pair will be back at it again later today.
