Elgin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mekhi Givens, Jayden Edgar Gray, Jiyion Holmes, and Jeremiah Seward picked up one apiece. Seward has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times he's played. Holmes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 39 points the game before, Larkin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 49-7 loss at the hands of Streamwood.
Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Elgin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
