Grand Terrace hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomington struck out 11 times.
Summit pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Grand Terrace, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Everything went Summit's way against Grand Terrace in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Summit made off with a 17-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the SkyHawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
