On Tuesday, Somerville might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Lynn English an easy 72-48 victory. Somerville has struggled against Lynn English recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Medford was beaten by Lynn English 86-49 last Tuesday. Medford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-20.
Somerville bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Medford, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.
Somerville came up short against Medford in their previous meeting back in February, falling 43-36. Can Somerville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
