The North Penn Knights entered their tilt with the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. North Penn took their matchup at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 60-32 victory over Bayard Rustin. North Penn has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Bayard Rustin still got an impressive performance from Sara Betchyk, who scored 12 points. That was a full 37.5% of Bayard Rustin's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
North Penn pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Bayard Rustin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn will take on Council Rock North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bayard Rustin, they will head out on the road to face off against Sun Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Sun Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Bayard Rustin is ranked 69th).
