The Berean Christian Eagles will take on the Miramonte Matadors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Berean Christian 3.2, Miramonte 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Miramonte will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Berean Christian extended their winning streak to five on Thursday. The Eagles never let Mt. Diablo get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Luke Upshaw made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Berean Christian got a massive performance out of Josh Werner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Werner has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Max McTighe, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Berean Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Miramonte fell victim to Northgate and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Miramonte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Yung, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Yung is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Berean Christian pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Miramonte, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Miramonte's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Berean Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. It's a different story for Miramonte, though, as they've only averaged .313. Will they be able to contain Berean Christian's hitters?
Berean Christian might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from Miramonte in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
