Adairsville hasn't had much luck against Calhoun recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Yellow Jackets at 5:55 p.m. Adairsville will be strutting in after a win while Calhoun will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Adairsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest Whitfield, taking the game 8-4. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.
Ashlyn Carlton was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Calhoun fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Heritage on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 9-5 to the Generals. The loss continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost five in a row.
Breanna Baker and Maggy Abernathy did some serious damage despite the final result: Baker went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Abernathy went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jordan Baker, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and one run.
Calhoun now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Adairsville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Everything went Adairsville's way against Calhoun in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Adairsville made off with a 15-1 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
