Millington Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-8. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Covington, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Covington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Haywood at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th.
