At the plate, Jordan Luisi was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Talen Tameling was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colfax). Everything went their way against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The Falcons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11, 2024 (when they won 22-3).
Jaimeson Rawlins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Colfax got a massive performance out of Tyler McCabe, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave McCabe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Tonini, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Colfax always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Ripon Christian pushed their record up to 14-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colfax, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Colfax's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ripon Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Colfax, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Ripon Christian's hitters?
