Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Academy for Classical Education

While Academy for Classical Education put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Dublin. The Gryphons put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 8-0 win. The Gryphons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sophie Denney, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Lineberger, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Academy for Classical Education's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dublin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
