Jim Thorpe suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 70-38 loss at the hands of Panther Valley. Jim Thorpe has struggled against Panther Valley recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Lehighton came up short against Blue Mountain on Monday and fell 32-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lehighton has scored all season.
Jim Thorpe bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.2 points per game. As for Lehighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
