After low-scoring totals in their previous four match, Champaign Central brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Monticello Sages on Monday. Champaign Central haven't had any issues with Monticello recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8-2. As for Monticello, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Champaign Central will venture away from home to take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Monticello, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pleasant Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
