St. Joseph Academy extended their losing streak  to four  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rock Academy Warriors. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their  loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.

As for Rock Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs over those games.
On Rock Academy's side,  Max Gimbel was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). That's the most  strikeouts  Gimbel has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Quentin Uhland, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Ethan Daldo was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
While St. Joseph Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
