The Lincoln Trojans stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Lodi, posting a 52-19 victory at home. Given Lincoln's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Lodi is ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brelynn Brice, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five steals. Brice is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amya Vangkham-Griffin, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 18-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Lodi, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
Lincoln will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tracy at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for Lodi, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kimball at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
