The North Hollywood Huskies suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Poly, falling 66-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Hollywood in their matchups with Poly: they've now lost seven in a row.
Audrey Flores was a one-man wrecking crew for Poly as she scored 33 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flores has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Claybon, who scored seven points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
North Hollywood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Poly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hollywood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Verdugo Hills at 4:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Poly, they will challenge Monroe at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monroe is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
