Traveon Banks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Therrell is undefeated when Banks posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Therrell got a massive performance out of Drakeo Farley, who fired off three doubles, four RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-4. DJ Robinson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Therrell hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Clayton struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Business Engineering Science Tech). They put the hurt on Washington with a sharp 15-5 win on Monday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.
Like Therrell, Business Engineering Science Tech also got a great game from a two-way player: Terez Norman. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Norman was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Mario Lemon was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Calek Sewell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Therrell's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Business Engineering Science Tech, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Business Engineering Science Tech's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Therrell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Business Engineering Science Tech, though, as they've only averaged .113. Will they be able to contain Therrell's hitters?
Therrell got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Business Engineering Science Tech by a conclusive 15-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
