Antelope Valley hasn't had much luck against Knight recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Antelope Valley Antelopes will host the Knight Hawks at 3:15 p.m. Antelope Valley has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Antelope Valley had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Boron put an end to it on Friday. Antelope Valley came up short against Boron, falling 18-1.

Antelope Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Edwards has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Omar Magana also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knight). They blew past Desert Christian 11-1 on Tuesday. The Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024.
Giovanni Gonzalez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Javier Santana and Ryan Gonzalez did most of the damage at the plate: Santana scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Ryan went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The dominant performance gave Santana a new career-high in runs. Nathen Esparza was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Knight hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Christian struck out seven times.
The win made it two in a row for Knight and bumps their season record up to 2-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Antelope Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Knight's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Antelope Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. It's a different story for Knight, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Antelope Valley's hitters?
