Baseball Recap: Salinas Comes Up Short

It was fun while it lasted, but Salinas's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Soledad Aztecs by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cowboys have suffered since March 8, 2024.

Brady Knoch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Quentin Dominguez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Knoch wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Salinas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Having lost for the first time this season, Salinas fell to 3-1. As for Soledad, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

While Salinas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
