It was a good run, but Leadership unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were dealt a 64-25 loss at the hands of KIPP King. Leadership has struggled against the Lions recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Nikki Li, who scored 28 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds for KIPP King. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Li has scored all season. Kaniya Dorrough was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Leadership's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for KIPP King, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leadership will take on the at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. KIPP King is on the road again on Friday and plays the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th.
