David Wiser made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Landon Carter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Jesuit won against Granite Bay on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Marauders put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 9-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marauders.
Like Bradshaw Christian, Jesuit also got a great game from a two-way player: Eric Erdmann. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Erdmann was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Javier Ramirez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Jordan Walczykowski was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bradshaw Christian's victory was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
Bradshaw Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Pride have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Jesuit, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bradshaw Christian continue to outrun the ball?
