The Schenectady Patriots will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Averill Park Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Schenectady has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 382 points over their last five matches.
A well-balanced attack led Schenectady over Ballston Spa in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Schenectady took down Ballston Spa 82-68. Given Schenectady's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Ballston Spa is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Even though Averill Park has not done well against Troy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Averill Park snuck past Troy with a 50-44 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Averill Park.
Schenectady's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Averill Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
