Thomas was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Thomas wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Calvin Jardina, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Paideia's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Mount Vernon,  the  win  got them back to even at 10-10.
 Paideia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  an  11-3  victory vs. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Mount Vernon, they will head out on the road to  face off against  King's Ridge Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in King's Ridge Christian's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last six matchups.
