Sonora is 2-8 against the Red Hawks since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sonora Wildcats will be playing at home against the Calaveras Red Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sonora scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Summerville at home to the tune of 71-39. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for Sonora this season.
Adeline Hanson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-10 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Faught, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Calaveras earned a 41-34 victory over the Bullfrogs on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Calaveras.
The win (which was Sonora's third in a row) raised their record to 14-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Calaveras, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
