Upper Perkiomen fell 33-22 to the Vikings. Upper Perkiomen has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Upper Merion Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Smith, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Smith also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Levayda Fuqua, who scored five points along with five steals.
Upper Perkiomen's defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.2 points per game. As for Upper Merion Area, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Perkiomen will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Upper Merion Area, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Phantoms at 6:45 p.m. on January 25th.
