The Duarte Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season. They breezed by Baldwin Park at home to the tune of 47-5. The win was just what Duarte needed coming off of a 59-26 loss in their prior contest.
Duarte found their leader in underclassman Selena Banuelos, who scored 26 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Banuelos has scored at least 25% of Duarte's points. Another player making a difference was Zyanne Diaz, who scored 12 points.
Duarte's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Baldwin Park, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Duarte and Arroyo will round out the year against one another at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th at. Baldwin Park is on the road again on Tuesday and play against West Covina at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. West Covina is on a four-game streak of home losses, Baldwin Park an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
