Make it 19 blowout wins for the Liberty Ranch Hawks this season. Everything went their way against El Dorado on Friday as Liberty Ranch made off with a 60-40 victory. The win was nothing new for Liberty Ranch as they're now sitting on five straight.
Liberty Ranch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Haley Smith out in front who scored 15 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Sophia Felix was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alana Schneider. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 22-5 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for El Dorado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.
Liberty Ranch will head out on the road to square off against the Wolverine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosemont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 889th, while the Hawks are ranked 313th). As for El Dorado, they will be playing at home against the The Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradshaw Christian has now lost 18 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
