The Delta Saints will square off against the Leroy Greene Academy Lions at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their  matches after big wins in their previous games.
Delta is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Esparto 18-2 on Monday. With that  win, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.

 Spencer Buckley and  Chase Parkinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Buckley   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Parkinson   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has become a key player for Delta: the team is undefeated when he allows at  most  one  hit, but 1-5 otherwise. At the plate,  Buckley  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Parkinson  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most  hits  Buckley has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news, Delta got a  massive  performance out of  Max Danila, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cole Hutson, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Delta  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .529. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Leroy Greene Academy got themselves on the board against Elite on Monday, but Elite never followed suit. They were the clear victors by  a  21-0 margin over the Eagles. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Philip Jones made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. That  RBI was  his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Maison Wunder was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with seven  RBI, three  runs,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Robert Callahan, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Delta's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Leroy Greene Academy, their win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-7.
 Delta might still be hurting after the  8-2 defeat they got from Leroy Greene Academy  when the teams last played  back in March of 2023. Can the Saints avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
