The Foothill Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Valley by a score of 37-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Foothill has suffered since December 12, 2023.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paris Arnold, who scored nine points. Maryssa Arnold was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Foothill has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.
Foothill will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Johnson at 6:00 p.m. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Natomas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Natomas comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
