After flying high against Hough on Wednesday, Lake Norman Charter came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Community School of Davidson Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.
Lake Norman Charter started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 14-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-12.
Community School of Davidson can attribute much of their success to Kelly Rogers, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Rogers has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn McRorie, who had 13 digs and one assist.

With the defeat, Lake Norman Charter broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Community School of Davidson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
