Wonderful College Prep Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Tafoya, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
On Corcoran's side, Ruben Alvarez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Alvarez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Alvarez was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Brayden Espinoza was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kiernan Delgado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
