The Quincy Trojans stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Portola as Quincy made off with a 61-36 victory. The win was familiar territory for Quincy who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tatum Hughes, who scored 14 points. Hughes' trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Hana Hostetter was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Quincy pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Portola, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Quincy will head out on the road to square off against Burney at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Burney will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 997th, while Quincy is ranked 379th). As for Portola, they will be playing at home against Redding Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
