Urban hasn't had much luck against Lick-Wilmerding recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blues will welcome the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. Urban will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Urban got the win against International by a conclusive 18-8. The result was nothing new for the Blues, who have now won eight matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Conor Darling, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Knupp, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Urban always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .675. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as International only posted an OBP of .393.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lick-Wilmerding's offense. They came up short against Urban on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 24, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Urban's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Lick-Wilmerding, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Urban's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Blues have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lick-Wilmerding, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Urban continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Urban's way against Lick-Wilmerding when the teams last played on Tuesday, as Urban made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Blues have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
