The Central Dragons's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They secured a 38-33 W over Penns Valley Area. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ellie Romig, who scored nine points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Lilly Smith, who scored six points.
Central's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Penns Valley Area, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Bellefonte at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bellefonte is coming into the match with eight straight defeats on the road, meaning Central will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Penns Valley Area, they will be playing at home against Huntingdon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Penns Valley Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
