The Pitman Pride waltzed into their matchup Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Downey 51-28. That's another feather in the cap for Pitman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Pitman found their leader in underclassman Dailynn Greener, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. The contest was Greener's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Wu, who scored 11 points.
Pitman now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Downey, they bumped their record down to 2-13-1 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pitman will take on Turlock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Downey, they will head out on the road to face off against Modesto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Modesto comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
