The Leadore Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a tough 72-47 loss at the hands of North Gem. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Leadore has suffered against North Gem since December 15, 2020.
Leadore lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dane Piippo, who scored 16 points along with five blocks. Another player making a difference was Porter Mayo, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Leadore has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for North Gem, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
