The Greenwood Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the East Juniata Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Greenwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Greenwood earned a 41-28 victory over the Tigers.
Greenwood's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Bekah Brinser, who scored 12 points along with six steals, and Leah Ritzman, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Brinser has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sylvia Gantt, who scored five points.
Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for East Juniata, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Greenwood was able to grind out a solid win over the Tigers when the teams last played on Tuesday, winning 41-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
