The Rio Linda Knights will take on the Casa Roble Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rio Linda is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Rio Linda's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on El Camino with a sharp 9-0 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ayden Crawford made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Rio Linda is undefeated when Crawford posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carlos Martinez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mathias Culp, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Casa Roble won against Union Mine on Monday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against Center by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Aidan Lopez looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, Ian Peatross was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Stillman, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Casa Roble's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Rio Linda, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rio Linda has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Casa Roble struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rio Linda couldn't quite finish off Casa Roble in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
