It was a good run, but the Rochester Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 50-36 fall against Union Area. Rochester was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Union Area apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Lucas Stanley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Union Area, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Stanley is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Thomas, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Union Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.
Rochester will head out on the road to face off against Western Beaver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Beaver is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Union Area won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Farrell at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th. Farrell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Union Area likes a good challenge.
