In Friday's league outing, the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) basketball squad beat the host Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA), by a margin of 50-36.

The Scotties (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Farrell (Farrell, PA). The Steelers go into the non-league outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, Farrell defeated Mercer (Mercer, PA), 65-62, in a non-league outing.
