The Audubon Green Wave are taking a road trip to challenge the Kingsway Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Audubon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Audubon couldn't beat Haddonfield on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Green Wave fell just short of the Bulldawgs by a score of 9-8. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 11, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Audubon got a good showing from Drew Piechowski, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Piechowski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Connor Chester was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Pilla, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs.
Meanwhile, Kingsway made easy work of Ocean City on Monday and carried off an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kevin Magsam spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits.
On the hitting side, Kingsway got a massive performance out of Kyle Shields, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Shields has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brayden Bell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Kingsway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
Audubon's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Kingsway, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Audubon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kingsway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Audubon was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingsway in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 5-2. Do the Green Wave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
