The Overfelt Royals suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mt. Pleasant 59-24. Overfelt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Pleasant apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Snowe DeLeon, who scored 32 points for Mt. Pleasant. That makes it three consecutive games in which DeLeon has scored at least a third of Mt. Pleasant's points. Marylou Moreno-Calcoa was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Overfelt and nudges their season record down to 1-11. As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-11.
Overfelt will head out on the road to challenge James Lick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. James Lick is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Jose at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Jose is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
