Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only White Pine walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the North Tahoe Lakers on Friday. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 19-25, 25-14.

Marlo Johnson and Ximena Trinidad Castellano certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Johnson had 30 digs, while Trinidad Castellano had 12 digs. Johnson has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

White Pine has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season. As for North Tahoe, they moved to 20-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither White Pine nor the Lakers have any future games scheduled.
