Harnett Central put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout  on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lee County Yellow Jackets  a   6-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won three contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Christopher Gaudet looked comfortable as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Brantley Champion was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.  Keoki Monte also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hits of the season.
Harnett Central pushed their record up to 4-1 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lee County, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harnett Central will challenge Westover at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Harnett Central is facing Westover at the right time seeing as Westover is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Lee County, they will take on Hoke County at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lee County will also cruise into their next  game with the timing on their side: Hoke County will have lost three straight heading into Friday's  contest.
