After a string of 18 wins, Boyd County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cabell Midland Knights. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Boyd County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Cabell Midland, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Boyd County will head out on the road to challenge Paul Laurence Dunbar at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cabell Midland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raceland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
