The Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm are ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Blair Academy Bucs. Mercersburg Academy took a serious blow against Blair Academy, falling 80-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mercersburg Academy has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Mercersburg Academy still got an impressive performance from Madison Goodhart, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mercersburg Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Blair Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercersburg Academy will take on Shalom Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Blair Academy, they will be playing at home against Perkiomen School at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Perkiomen School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 144th in Pennsylvania, while Blair Academy is ranked sixth in New Jersey).
