The Escondido Cougars won the last time they faced the San Pasqual Golden Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Escondido blew past the Golden Eagles 55-11 at home.
Escondido was led to victory by Jasmine Reyes and Anaya McGlory. Reyes scored 14 points along with four steals, while McGlory almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which McGlory has scored at least a third of Escondido's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidia Culajay, who scored five points.
Escondido's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11. As for San Pasqual, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escondido's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Ramona comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for San Pasqual, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
