The Neshaminy Skins will head out to face off against the Central Bucks East Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neshaminy's defense has only allowed 12.9 points per game this season, so Central Bucks East's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Things were looking good for Neshaminy after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennridge. The game marked the Skins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central Bucks East, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Abington 49-7 on Friday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Galloping Ghosts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Neshaminy better focus on containing Asher Green and Hunter Pulford as the pair were huge in Central Bucks East's win. Green rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while Pulford rushed for 57 yards and one TD. Those 82 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.
Central Bucks East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Central Bucks East's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Abington's side was Liam Hoey, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Neshaminy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Central Bucks East, their record is now an identical 5-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Neshaminy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 181.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central Bucks East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 199.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Neshaminy beat Central Bucks East 24-13 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
