They secured a 39-35 W over Mesa Grande Academy. This was payback for Bethel Christian, who suffered a 28-22 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bethel Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaila Ellison out in front who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia Taylor, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and two steals.
Bethel Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Mesa Grande Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian will take on Calvary Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mesa Grande Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Redlands Adventist Academy at 5:00 p.m.
