The Christ the King Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-58 victory over Mountain Island Charter. The win was some much needed relief for Christ the King as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Christ the King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Ryan out in front who scored 25 points. Ryan continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marco Tampoya, who scored 18 points.
Christ the King's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Mountain Island Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christ the King will be home for the holidays to greet Bradford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bradford Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 483 points over their last seven games. Mountain Island Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. One thing working in East Rutherford's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
