Football Recap: Cimarron Skates Past Larned with Ease

Cimarron never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Larned Indians, posting a 48-0 victory. Considering the Bluejays have won three games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cimarron was led to victory by McCoy Nash and Isayah Barranca. Nash rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Barranca gained 82 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Nash has posted since back in October of 2024.

Cimarron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Christian Kennedy and Barranca.

Cimarron now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Larned, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron will welcome Hugoton on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Bluejays' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Larned, they will be playing at home against Southwestern Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
